Wis. coroner: Woman may have died of hypothermia

WESTON (AP) -- The Marathon County coroner says a Weston woman who was found dead in her driveway this week likely died of hypothermia.

The woman was in her 60s. Her body was discovered Friday about 3 p.m.

Coroner John Larson said on Saturday that the woman may have been intoxicated or confused and unable to get back inside the house. He says she didn't have injuries that would have prevented her from getting inside.

Larson tells the Wausau Daily Herald it's hard to know what time she died, but he says she was outside long enough for her body to freeze.

The woman's name hasn't been released.
