Sharon L. Rowell, 60, of Weston, passed away Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Wausau.
She was born Feb. 2, 1951, in Wausau, daughter of the late Levi and Ethel (Hanke) Brandt. She married Phillip Rowell on March 21, 1970, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wausau.
Sharon enjoyed going to car shows and flea markets with her husband. In recent years, she was a caregiver to her mother, who passed away Jan. 8, 2011.
Survivors include her husband, Phillip, of Weston; daughter, Tammy (John
Kucirek) Seltrecht of Rib Mountain; son, Christopher Rowell of Weston; two grandchildren, Jessica and Tristin Seltrecht; sister, Darlene Zastrow of Sun Prairie; mother-in-law, Eleanor Rowell of Rothschild; sister-in-law, Janis (Dennis) Narlock of Mosinee; and brothers-in-law, Robert Garbisch of Custer, S.D., David (Karen) Rowell of Ohio, and Daniel (Jerry) Rowell of Marshfield.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Garbisch; and her parents.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, at Peace United Church of Christ, 1524 Grand Ave., Schofield. The Rev Larry Treece will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the church.
