Archbishop Listecki lends his support to worker struggle

MILWAUKEE (PRESS RELEASE)--Archbishop Jerome E. Listecki of the Wisconsin Catholic Conference today issued a timely statement on the "moral obligation each of us has to respect the legitimate rights of workers."

This much needed call for cooperation and communication between workers and management comes as opposition Gov. Walker's union busting budget continues to grow.  The complete statement from Archbishop Listecki is attached to the electronic form of this press release.

Listecki was installed as archbishop of Milwaukee on January 4, 2010, by the Papal Nuncio to the United States, Archbishop Pietro Sambi.  At that time, he assumed responsibility for the spiritual well-being of Catholics in the 10 counties of southeastern Wisconsin and took on the day-to-day administration of the archdiocese.
