Ronald J. Nowacki


Ronald J. Nowacki, age 76, of 332 Walker St., died peacefully at his home on Sunday Feb. 20, 2011. He was born Nov. 19, 1934 in Stevens Point. Son of the late Roman & Doris (Czerwinski) Nowacki. He entered the US Navy on July 14, 1953. He served on the USS Hancock and received the National Defense Medal and the European Occupation Medal – China Service. He was honorably discharged April 15, 1957. His marriage to Donna Davis took place on Nov. 23, 1956. She died April 6, 2001. His marriage to Betty Niemczyk took place on July 13, 2002. She survives. Ron was a self employed Contractor and Kitchen Designer for many years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge 641 for many years and had served as an exulted ruler. He enjoyed reading. In lieu of flowers a memorial in his name will be established at a later date.

Survivors include his wife Betty, One son Ronald Mark (Barbara) Nowacki of Dubuque, Iowa, One Daughter Terri (Gary) Scott of Hillsboro, OR. Six Grandchildren: Ed Bjurstrom & Mary Sue Nowacki Bjurstrom, Alex (Mandalyn Johnson) Nowacki, Martha McCarthy-Nowacki, Courtney Bumbarger & Alexis (Sam Gensen) Scott. One Great Grandson: Aiden Bumbarger. One Brother: Bob (Marianne) Nowacki of Amherst Junction, Two Sisters: Audrey (Joe) Somers of Stevens Point and Carol (Nick) Wiza of Lakeland, FL. Three Step Sons: Dave (Chris) Chiapuzio, Dale Chiapuzio & Wayne (Vicki) Chiapuzio. Three Step Daughters: Sherry (Bob) Garza, Tammy (Bruce) Wiza & Mary (Joe Garza) Chiapuzio. 14 Step Grandchildren & 3 Step Great Grandchildren. Special Cousin Marcelline Pelowski of Napa, CA

Memorial Mass 10:30 AM Thursday at St. Peter Catholic Church. Rev. Robert Letona Officiating. Burial in the St. Peter Parish Cemetery. Visitation from 9:00 AM until the time of services Thursday Morning in the St. Faustina room at St. Peter Church. The Elks will have a ritual for Ron at 9:30 AM Thursday morning at the Church.
