WESTON (WAOW) -- While many local leaders remain at home trying to figure out what the governor's plan will mean for their communities, the Weston village administrator traveled to Madison to get some answers.

Dean Zuleger arrived at the capital when the protests started and questioned the governor's staff about what's ahead.

"The governor told us that they're looking at this jurisdiction by jurisdiction to really cut the fat and cut the unnecessary entitlements out of local government," said Zuleger.

Zuleger said Weston leaders try to make the village as efficient as possible by sharing services with other communities. He said they will continue to work with teamsters and taxpayers and figure out what services they consider to be priorities.

"Folks that are surprised by his boldness, are surprised by his aggressiveness with respect to this recalibration of government, just weren't paying attention during the campaign," said Zuleger.
