Harold F. Raschka

Harold F. Raschka, of Stevens Point, died Thursday afternoon, February 24, 2011 unexpectedly at his home. Age 59 Harold was born August 30, 1951 in Stevens Point. He is the son of Mary (Jurgella) Raschka of Stevens Point and the late Joseph Raschka Sr. He attended schools in Stevens Point, and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1969. His marriage to Colleen K. Helbach took place on May 22, 1976 at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Custer. After their marriage the couple settled in Stevens Point. His wife Colleen survives.

Harold enjoyed working the family farm his entire life. He loved to stay at home surrounded by his family and grandchildren. He loved making homemade sausage, having summer chicken cookouts, but most enjoyed playing and spoiling his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Colleen of 34 years, his children Carrie (James) Hammerstad of Stevens Point, Scott (Hillary) Raschka of Amherst Junction, Sara Raschka, William Raschka, Robert Raschka and Jennifer (Matthew) Churas all of Stevens Point. His four grandchildren Anthony, Bridgette, Thomas and Mekaillah Hammerstad. His mother Mary Raschka of Stevens Point, his brothers and sisters

Rose (Phillip) Stremkowski of Custer, Chester (Margret) Raschka of Stevens Point, Susan (Daniel) Stremkowski of Custer, Joseph (Karen) Raschka of Stevens Point, Annette Hulce Stevens Point and Sandra (Randy) Niles of Custer and Mary (Noel) Olszewski of Stevens Point. He was preceded in death by his father Joseph Raschka Sr., and one infant brother.

Funeral Mass will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Custer. Rev. Rajen Anandan officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Parish Cemetery. Family and Friends may call from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday February 28, 2011 at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home, and from 9:30 AM Tuesday at the church until the time for mass.
