Madison mayor demands answers about Walker comment

MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Madison Mayor Dave Cieslewicz is demanding Gov. Scott Walker give more details about comments he made to a prank caller about considering secretly planting people in pro-union protest crowds to stir up trouble.

Cieslewicz sent Walker a letter Friday saying he thought considering that option was "deeply disturbing" especially given that the protests have been peaceful even when the numbers rose to 68,000 last weekend.

Cieslweicz asks Walker for more details about who made the suggestion to disrupt the protests, what steps were taken to carry it out, if any, and what was the exact nature of the suggestion.

Walker made the comments during a call this week made by someone pretending to be conservative billionaire David Koch.

Walker spokesman Cullen Werwie had no comment on the mayor's letter.
