MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Garret Roe had two goals and St. Cloud State scored three times in the second period to beat Wisconsin 4-2 on Friday.
Roe's first goal gave the Huskies (13-15-5, 9-12-4) a 3-0 lead in the second period. He added an insurance goal in the third period.
Travis Novak and Jordy Christian also scored for the Huskies.
The 13th-ranked Wisconsin (19-12-4, 11-11-3) got goals from Justin Schultz and Jordy Murray. Schultz's 17th goal is tops in the nation by a defenseman.
The Huskies' win, combined with Minnesota's win over Michigan Tech, dropped the Badgers to sixth place behind the Golden Gophers in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association. The top six teams get home ice for the first round of the WCHA playoffs
