MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Garrett Roe had two goals for the second straight night to lead St. Cloud State to a 7-3 win over Wisconsin on Saturday and a sweep of their two-game Western Collegiate Hockey Association series.
Aaron Marvin also had two goals for the Huskies, who moved to within a point of the Badgers and Colorado College for sixth place in the WCHA with two games to play. The top six teams have home ice for the WCHA playoffs.
The Huskies poured it on in the third period, pulling away from a 3-1 lead after two periods. Roe, Nick Oslund, David Eddy and Aaron Marvin scored goals in the third period.
Dan Dunn made 21 saves for the Huskies, while Scott Gudmandson had 25 saves for the suddenly struggling Badgers. Wisconsin is 0-5-1 in its last six games after having gone 13-2-0 in its previous 15.
Roe also scored twice Friday as the Huskies (14-15-5, 10-12-4) opened the series with a 4-2 win over the 13th-ranked Badgers (19-13-4, 11-12-3).
