Emmajane Lee, age 76, of Plover, died Friday morning, Feb. 25, 2011, at Ministry St. Michael's Hospital.
She was born on Dec. 9, 1934, in Madison, to the late Henry and Marcella (Esselman) Herreid and was a graduate of Park High School in Racine and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Prior to 1983, Emmajane had worked as town clerk of Caledonia and later as village clerk for Plover from 1983 to 1998. She was an excellent cook, avid gardener and a diehard Packers fan.
Survivors include her daughters, Virginia (Leonard) Whyte of Austin, Texas, and Lisa (Michael) Janecky of Racine; sons, Marshall (Tricia) Lee III of Plover, Mark (Sandra) Lee of Normal, Illinois, and Brian (Rebecca) Lee of Plover; grandchildren, Ryan and Mackenzie Whyte, Crystal (Robert) West, Kyle Janecky, Sydney and Benjamin Lee, Alexis Lee, and Alex and Cameron Lee; sister-in-law, Geraldine Herreid of Mukwonago; and special relative, Diane Herreid of Franklin.
In addition to her parents, Emmajane was preceded in death by her brother, Peder Herreid.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Emmajane's name to either the Portage County Humane Society or St. Michael's Foundation.
