WISCONSIN RAPIDS (WAOW) -- Many cities in Wisconsin wait for the 2011-2013 budget.
Cities like Wisconsin Rapids have its city budget planned for 2011 but without the new state budget, they can't plan further ahead.
Mayor of Wisconsin Rapids Mary Jo Carson says the city needs to know as soon as possible where they can expect cuts.
"I will just be glad to have him announce the budget," Carson said. "I think it's extremely important for us to know as quickly as possible where the cuts are coming.
Carson also says she knows there are many rumors from both sides as to what the state may cut, but she plans to stay out of it until the city gets the real facts.
"I think a lot of people have worried about stuff that isn't factual. They don't have the numbers," Carson said. "We're hearing rumors. We're hearing comments from both sides about what the actual numbers are going to be, and it's not helpful."
