MILWAUKEE (AP) - Authorities in Washington County are investigating the death of a jail inmate.
The sheriff's office says 63-year-old Wilbur Teague of Milwaukee died Saturday.
Correctional officers were performing routine checks when Teague told them he was having trouble breathing.
As officers began to help him, Teague stopped breathing with no pulse. Officers performed CPR until rescuers arrived, but Teague was pronounced dead at a hospital.
WISN-TV reports officials believe Teague died of natural causes. An autopsy will be performed.
Teague was serving a sentence for operating under the influence. He was due to be released Thursday.
