MARSHFIELD (WAOW) -- In Governor Walker's budget proposal speech, he says his goal is to create 250,000 jobs.

The executive director of the Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce says there are many parts of the budget that are small but collectively - will help small businesses.

Some of those things in the budget are the state increasing tourism marketing to $15 million to help bring outside money into Wisconsin.

There would also be no tax on capital gains invested in Wisconsin-based businesses for five or more years.

"There is a number of things the business community would look at and say together those are good, positive things for the private sector," Executive Director Scott Larson said.

Larson says one of the important parts is the investment in the transportation fund because better transportation promotes business.

He says parts of the budget could create a friendlier business environment in Wisconsin, which helps job creation.
