MARSHFIELD (WAOW) -- As gas goes in, money goes out. Many drivers upset with soaring gas prices.
"I think it sucks. It's a dirty-rotten shame. I think there's something drastic that should be done about it," Ralph Tryba said.
One driver says it cost him about $100 to fill his gas tank.
"It's getting to the point where it's getting very expensive to fill up vehicles. I own a truck too. It doesn't help anything out. I get anywhere from 10 to 12 miles per gallon," Cody Jonas said.
Gasbuddy.com shows many prices in Central Wisconsin hitting about $3.50. Some gas stations near Eau Claire are selling gas for just less than $3.80.
When prices get this high, many pump the brakes on their travel plans.
"I have been traveling less. Also though, you have to go to school. You have to go to work. It all depends," Jonas said.
Gasbuddy.com shows Wisconsin as one of the more expensive states to buy gas, behind places like New York and California.
Many in Wisconsin hope the government does something quickly, before these gas prices burn a hole in their pocket.
"Start using our own instead of buying it from foreign countries. We have enough over here in our own supply." Tryba said.
