ATHENS (WAOW) -- Farmers plan to show their frustration with the budget repair bill. And they're pulling out some heavy machinery.
The Family Farm Defenders are planning a Tractorcade for Saturday, the 12th in Madison and rounding up local support. Local leaders said Governor Walker's budget would take a big hit to rural communities because of cuts to education and BadgerCare.
"We view Governor Walker's budget as an obvious manifestation of a giveaway to corporate power," said Stoney Acres Farm Owner Tony Schultz. "And we say 'no' to that."
Organizers created a Facebook group last Friday and they've already received nearly 3,000 RSVPs. To learn more about the event, you can go to this website.
