Families and individuals who have experienced the loss of a loved one may want to explore some of the grief support services available in our region. We recently received this news release about one of those services:
Ministry Home Care-Hospice Services provides grief support to everyone in the community, regardless of their involvement with hospice prior to the death of their loved one.
The Grief Support Group is a monthly adult gathering for individuals and families who have experienced the death of a loved one. These groups provide a caring community for learning about grief, finding support, sharing memories, and identifying feelings. The group meets on the fourth Monday of each month, 7:00-8:30pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1419 Rogers Street in Stevens Point (please use the Day Care entrance off of Clark Street). The next meeting will be held March 28 and everyone is welcome.
There is no fee to attend, and no pre-registration is required. For more information on this and other grief support opportunities, please contact Chris Schmelling, Ministry Home Care-Hospice Services, 715-346-5355.
