WAUSAU (WAOW) - Trinity Lutheran School in Wausau celebrates National Lutheran Schools week. Teachers and students mark each day with a different theme.
Today each class picked an identity. Some dressed in pajamas, others as movie characters.
And they wrap up a flip-flop donation drive for kids in their Guatemala mission.
Trinity school has been around 103 years.
Trinity Lutheran School Principal DJ Schult says, "NLSW is a national week set aside to recognize the excellence achieved in Lutheran Schools, both nationally and internationally. Students, teachers, parents and congregations celebrate the gift of children and Christian education. Trinity Lutheran School in Wausau has been meeting needs and developing disciples for 103 years. Strong music, athletic and academic programs are part of a curriculum that integrates the Christian faith into every aspect of the students life."
The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod reports nationwide, almost 2,382 LCMS schools teach 243,000 students.
