Ginter appointed Wood Co. Register of Deeds

MADISON (PRESS RELEASE) - Governor Scott Walker announced today the appointment of Susan Ginter of Nekoosa as the Wood County Register of Deeds.  Ginter, who currently serves as Chief Deputy Clerk of Court for Wood County, will fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Rene' Krause.  She will begin serving March 28, 2011, and will serve a term ending January 7, 2013.

"Susan Ginter's seventeen years of County and State government experience will allow for an easy transition into her new role," Governor Walker said.  "Susan possesses the tools necessary to successfully lead the office.  She is well respected in Wood County and will be an excellent Register of Deeds."

Since 1999, Ginter has served as the Chief Deputy Clerk of Courts for Wood County.  Prior to that, Susan was employed by the State of Maryland Department of Human Resources.  Susan Ginter and her husband, Jim, live in Port Edwards Township.  They have four adult children.

"I am very humbled by my appointment as the Wood County Register of Deeds," Ginter said.  "I am looking forward to efficiently serving the people of Wood County in that capacity."
