CHIPPEWA FALLS (WXOW) -- One state senator says he's considering extra security after some Republican lawmakers received death threats following votes on part of the Budget Repair Bill.
State Senator Terry Moulton, R-Chippewa Falls, is speaking out since those threats.
"I think that's very sad," said Moulton. "It's sick, and that's not the way they way we do things in this country, and to threaten somebody with death, is not a good thing."
State lawmakers say they've identified a person who sent at least two threats to state lawmakers. Senator Dan Kapanke was one of the people to receive the threatening emails.
The Division of Criminal Investigation says the female suspect admitted to sending two e-mails threatening to kill the governor and members of the senate.
Officials have not released the person's name and where she lives.
