Brewers play to 6-6, 10 inning tie

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) -- Hiroki Kuroda worked into the sixth inning then spent time signing autographs to raise money to aid the relief effort in Japan, and the Los Angeles Dodgers and Milwaukee Brewers played to a 6-6, 10-inning tie Saturday.

Kuroda announced earlier in the week that he was donating $50,000, and he said numerous teammates had approached him about how they could help. Several spent an hour before Saturday's game signing autographs for fans in exchange for a donation to the earthquake victims.

Making his first appearance since the earthquake and tsunami hit Japan a week ago, Kuroda worked 5 2-3 innings, giving up nine hits and three runs.

Milwaukee's starter, Randy Wolf enjoyed his best outing of the spring, going 5 2-3 innings, and giving up just five hits and two runs. He came into the game with a 16.71 ERA.
