Monica M. Gollon-Orlikowski, 99, formerly of 1116 Old Wausau Road, Stevens Point died Monday March 21, 2011 at the Portage County Health Care Center. Born: May 7, 1911 in the town of Dewey.
Daughter of the late Theodore & Mary (Krayecki) Kieliszewski. She attended local schools. Her marriage to Carl Gollon took place on February 14, 1927 at St. Peter Catholic Church. Monica along with her husband Carl owned and operated the family bait business. Carl died in 1960. She later married Henry Orlikowski; he died in July of 1974.
She was a member of the St. Peter Rosary Society Rose #50
She enjoyed crocheting, flowers, fishing, cooking and caring for her family.
Survivors include her daughters, Viola (Jim) Phillips of Whiting, Jeannette (Ervin) Malarchick of Glendive Montana, and Loretta (Vic) Nowak of Stevens Point. Sons, David (Althea) Gollon of Dodgeville, Phil (Jane) Gollon of Stevens Point, Fred (Fiancée Arlene) Gollon of Stevens Point and William (Arlene) Gollon of Stevens Point. 27 Grandchildren, 54 Great Grandchildren, 26 Great Great Grandchildren. Also survived by step-children, Henry, Betty & Alice. Step-brother, Joseph Steinke of Whiting.
Preceded in death by one Son Carl "Sonny"Gollon, brothers, Roman and Emil. Sisters, Katherine Meronek and Jennie Omernik.
Funeral Mass: 10:30am Friday March 25, 2011 at St. Peter Catholic Church. Rev Robert Letona officiating. Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation on Friday from 9:00am until time of services in the St. Faustina Room at the church. St. Peter Rosary Society will pray the rosary at 9:30am Friday at the church.
