WAUSAU (WAOW) -- Wausau's downtown green space has a new, old name.
Wausau's City Council voted to name the park, the 400 Block.
This comes after the council previously voted to name the space "City Square." Mayor Jim Tipple vetoed the move because of public outcry.
Earlier this year the public voted in a non-binding poll, narrowing down a list of names to three choices: 400 Block, City Square, and Freedom Square.
The council voted 10-1 to name the space the 400 Block at Tuesday night's meeting.
