Eugenia “Jeanne” C. Mansavage

Eugenia "Jeanne" C. Mansavage, of Stevens Point, died Monday March 21, 2011 after a brief illness. She was born March 10, 1919, the daughter of the late Alexander & Anastacia (Hoppa) Mansavage. After graduating from Stevens Point Normal School (UWSP) in 1940 she taught rural school from 1940 until 1944. Jeanne joined Hardware Mutual currently Sentry Insurance in 1944 and worked in both the Chicago and Stevens Point facilities until her retirement in 1984. Jeanne was a long time member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point and also the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She did volunteer work at Ministry St. Michaels Hospital gift shop for 18 years and also enjoyed golfing, reading and music. She most especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Jeanne is survived by her sister Hilda "Gerri" Konopacky of Stevens Point, Two Sister in laws: Esther Mansavage of Fort Atkinson and Agnes "Aggie" Mansavage of Pine City, MN. She is further survived by 16 nieces & Nephews and several great nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, One Sister: Margaret "Margie" Einberger & Three Brothers: Cyril "Sam", Robert "Bob" & David "Dave" Mansavage. Two Brothers in laws: Leroy Einberger & Karl Konopacky. One Sister in law: Marcella Mansavage. Two Nephews: Richard "Rick" Konopacky & Thomas "Tom" Mansavage.

Jeanne's family would like to express to the Doctors, nurses and entire staff of the Stevens Point Care Center, Harmony Living Center and Ministry St. Michaels Hospital their heart felt thanks for all the compassionate care.

Funeral Mass 11:00 AM Thursday at St. Peter Catholic Church. Rev. Dennis Stanchik Officiating. Burial in the Guardian Angel cemetery. Visitation from 9:00 AM until the time of services Thursday morning in the St. Faustina room at St. Peter Church. A General rosary will be prayed at 9:30 AM at the Church.
