(WAOW) - Newman Catholic will hit the court for the Division five state semifinals
Thursday at approximately 3:15 pm.
The Cardinals have been on a mission since losing their regular season finale to Prentice. They've won each playoff game by an average of 49 points a game and in last year's championship against Black Hawk, Newman won by 34.
But with a rematch against the Warriors on deck, the Cardinals know things aren't going to come easy.
Prentice will open the D5 playoffs against River Ridge at 1:35 Thursday. It's the Buccaneers first trip to state since 1993 and for their head coach, it provides a great ending to a career.
This will be Don Anderson's third time taking a team to Madison but this time, his daughter will be with him as the Bucs leading scorer.
