WAUSAU (WAOW) - The warmer temperatures motivate kids to get out of the house on their spring break.  With no school in the Wausau District, other kids head to the Boys and Girls Club.

Sure.. fun and games are a big part of spending time there.. but it's a lot more than that.

Some brush up on their artwork.. while others take a field trip to Eastbay.. to learn about different jobs and careers.

Brian Stezinski-Williams/Boys and Girls Club Executive Director: "All of our kids are old enough to be left home alone, so here they are, they are with positive adult role models. Other kids, they're interacting with activities, getting a healthy meal vs sitting at home watching TV."

The Boys and Girls Club director says the turnout has been good this week.

And they also offer free breakfast and lunch.
