Pro-life group gets room reservation reinstated

Wausau (WAOW)--  After filing a lawsuit yesterday against the Marathon County Library for canceling its room reservation the anti-abortion group "40 Days For Life" will in fact hold its scheduled viewing of the movie "Blood Money".

Marathon County Corporation counsel, Scott Corbett said that after talking with insurance counsel they were advised not to litigate.

The library sent a letter for the pro-life group officially reinstating its scheduled time slow.

Library officials originally canceled the reservation when they learned of possible protests from Facebook.

The group then claimed it was a violation of its first amendment rights.

Now, the decision to cancel the room is being taken away and the movie is scheduled to air this weekend.

Janet Nichols, an organizer for the pro-life group says she is thankful library officials changed their minds. She believes that individuals in the community should know they can express their first amendment rights.

The film will air Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Marathon County Public Library.
