(WAOW) - For central Wisconsin's high school athletes, only one sport has been able to stick to its normal schedule-for the most part.
The indoor track season hasn't been delayed by the weather. Saturday, in Lakeland, the Thunderbirds hosting an indoor track meet.
However, for most of the area's outdoor sports, the beginning of the season continues to be pushed back.
That only delays the start of a new conference season for the Merrill softball team. After spending last year in the Great Northern Conference, the Blue Jays move to the Valley this season.
With the jump means a tougher schedule and increased competition, something they hope will prepare them for a postseason run.
