MARATHON CITY (WAOW)--Marathon City is losing a 34 year veteran of it's police force. Police Chief Lauren Knoeck is retiring this week.
Knoeck has served as chief for the past 32 years. He said he's never gotten tired of coming to work.
We caught up with him at a D.A.R.E. graduation ceremony, where he reminisced about his time as chief. "A guy couldn't ask for a better place to work," he said."
Knoeck said he will miss the people he has gotten to know and work with on the force and in the community. His last day is Friday.
