Wausau West Girls Win Their Warrior Indoor Track Invite

WAUSAU (Press Release) - The Warrior Invite had 13 teams from around the area, including a good head to head match-up with West and SPASH, with the West girls edging out SPASH by a single point.  The meet came down to the final event with Point finishing 2nd.  However, West finished 4th which was just enough to take the team trophy.  Edgar made a strong showing in 3rd place despite bringing a smaller squad due to a schedule conflict with another activity at the school.  Jenna Heidimann was chosen as the Meet's Outstanding Performer with wins in the 55 Dash and Long Jump.  She also placed 4th in the 200 Dash.  Ashley Eckhoff from Wausau East took the two distance events to help them to a 4th place finish.  Teresa Rock was top Newman athlete with a second in the pole vault and additional placings in the two hurdle events and the 55 dash.
