WISCONSIN RAPIDS (WAOW) -- The Wisconsin River gets higher.
A volunteer for HAM Radio says the Rapid's police department asked the organization to monitor certain areas near the river. He says their job is to make sure people don't get too close.
"The Wisconsin Rapid's Police Department contacted me about three or four days ago to get ready. To be prepared and just be their eyes," volunteer Ken Snyder said.
He was told the river would crest Tuesday.
He also says the State Office building in Rapids closed because of flooding.
Chance of a shower or T-storm Sunday, otherwise the weekend forecast is looking good.
