Pet Pause: Emergency Kits

UNDATED (WAOW) -- People weren't the only ones forced out of their homes when storms ripped through the area, animals were evacuated too.

If that ever happens to you, there are some things you should have handy.

At first sign of bad weather get your pet's crate readily accessible along with leashes and collars.

You should also have a container with the following items inside:

Pet's identification, including tags and microchip information.

A plastic, zipper bag with you pet's medical information.

A current photo of you and your pet with a description of your pet in case of separation.

Pet's medication.

If you have any questions for Dolores about making an emergency plan of your own e-mail her at
