GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- A 4-year-old boy is safe after allegedly being taken by his mother's live-in boyfriend in Green Bay.
Green Bay police had issued an Amber Alert for Shawn Tucker Wednesday morning but within 1 1/2 hours police had found the boy and arrested the 18-year-old suspect, Terry Shepard.
Lt. Jeff Engelbrecht says Shepard took the boy to someone's residence and that person got in touch with police.
In the alert, police said Shepard was wanted for a probation warrant and has a history of violent tendencies.
He was also considered armed and dangerous, but Engelbrecht said Shepard was arrested without problems.
Frustrations are mounting for a rural Portage County community after the third violent sex offender is placed into their community.
