People cleanup after flooding hits Central Wisconsin
MARATHON CITY (WAOW) -- Several families move back into their homes after police asked them to evacuate because of high water in Marathon City.
We're told parts of River Road in Marathon City were covered with water Monday. The water came from Rib River.
In Wisconsin Rapids, the street department pumps water out of storm drains and into the Wisconsin River.
They tell me the State Office building was closed again Wednesday because of flooding.
Across the street Element Mobile employees remove sandbags that lined the outside of their store.
Employees say they didn't want a repeat of last year.
"We got flooded in September, and it was bad. Everything inside got wet. So, we wanted to make sure that didn't happen again. So, we were right on top of it," Element Mobile employee Bill Posteluk said.
