Third Never Forgotten Honor Flight leaves today


MOSINEE (WAOW) -- Another Never Forgotten Honor Flight leaves Monday morning from the Central Wisconsin Airport.

This is the third flight from our area that's taken WWII veterans on a whirlwind trip to Washington DC to the see the memorials in their honor.

The flight will take 162 veterans and volunteer guardians free of cost. It leaves at 7:00 a.m.  and should be back around 10:00 p.m.  A welcome home ceremony for the veterans will be held at CWA upon arrival of the return flight, and is open to the public.

Admittance into the airport concourse will be allowed after 8:30 p.m. Parking will be available in the long-term parking lot.  Parking rules will apply.

The flight is made possible through donations.
