UPDATE: Police standoff over, suspect in custody

MOSINEE (WAOW) -- The police standoff at a Mosinee home is over.
Investigators say they have taken the suspect into custody.  He's being taken to an area hospital.  The extent or cause of his injuries are unknown.
The suspect barricaded himself into a home at 405 High Street around 3:30 a.m., Monday. 
MOSINEE (WAOW) -- Investigators are inside the Mosinee home where earlier this morning a suspect barricaded himself in.
Newsline 9's Alex Haight is on the scene.  He says a person was taken out of the home on a stretcher, put in an ambulance and driven away.  It's unclear if anyone besides the suspect was inside the home.
MOSINEE (WAOW)--Marathon County investigators are trying to negotiate with a man who's barricaded himself in a Mosinee home.

Just after 3:00 Monday morning, investigators got a call of a vehicle crash.

The driver of that vehicle barricaded himself in a home on the 400 block of High Street.

The suspect does have a shotgun.

High Street as well at 4th and 5th Streets are blocked off.

Schools in the Mosinee district will start as scheduled so far.


MOSINEE (WAOW) -- Marathon County investigators are searching for a possibly armed suspect in Mosinee.

Little information is being released at this time.  Investigators have been on the scene, around 5th Street, since before 5:00 a.m., Monday.

Newsline 9's Alex Haight is on the scene.  He tells us investigators are wearing bullet proof vests an are making him stay several blocks away.

4th, 5th and High Street are blocked off.
