STEVENS POINT (WAOW) -- The Stevens Point Brewery taps into new markets
The brewery is increasing its capacity 25 percent.
That means, they build more warehouse space and buy new aging and fermenting tanks.
The beer was recently introduced in Texas and North Carolina. Florida is coming next.
The Brewery Operating Partner says they've invested about $1 million to upgrade facilities.
"I've been here quite a few years, and it's exciting to see the ownership, which is locally owned, is willing to reinvest into the company here," Director of Operations Art Oksuita said.
Brewery leaders say the expansion helped them hire three new full-time employees.
They expect the expansion to be completed by May 1st in time for their busy summer season.
