Virginia E. Jojade

Virginia E. Jojade, 90, of Wausau, died April 20, 2011 at Mount View Care Center, Wausau.

She was born July 24, 1920, daughter of Joseph and Pearl (Guerin) Bieble. Virginia married John A. Jojade on July 27, 1940 in Charlee City, Iowa. They had one son, John A. Jojade Jr. and wife Nadine (Zander) and they reside in Hayward, WI. They have one granddaughter, Robyn; five great-grandchildren, Zachary, Nicholas, Alisyn, Kristyn, and Noah Farrand; three step great-grandchildren, Joetta (Eric) Swartz, John and J.C. Ortega; four great-great grandchildren; two nieces, Antje (Forrest) Beartz, and Beverly Lascody; one sister, Neta Achterberg; one sister-in-law, Florence (Charles) Jojade.

Virginia and John retired in 1981 after owning and operating Jojade Plumbing and Heating for 27 years on N. 6th St., Wausau. They then moved to their lake house in Harshaw, WI. In1989 they moved to Ocsla, FL. IN 1990 they celebrated their Golden Anniversary and renewed their vows at St. Stephen Church, Wausau with many friends and relatives attending with a reception later. While in Florida, she was active in the Women of the Moose of Crystal River, FL, and earned her Collegian degree. In 2004 they returned to Wausau. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Wausau. She loved doing craft projects and reading, especially making string art greeting cards.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Peal Beible; one brother, William; three sisters, Florence (Kamke, Lambert), Neta Achterberg (William), Arletta (Larry) Bishop.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Stephens Lutheran Church, 512 McClellan St., Wausau. Rev. David Klutterman of Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Wausau. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday, at the Brainard Funeral Home, 522 Adams St. Wausau, and again from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Tuesday.
