STEVENS POINT (WAOW) -- Some students dig in and plant a tree.
Fourth graders at St. Paul Lutheran school helped plant 18 trees at Forest Cemetery in Stevens Point.
The city forester says they removed several older trees from the cemetery, and wanted to replace them with new ones.
He says it's a great chance to teach students about nature.
"They have a ton of fun. You never know what kind of questions they're going to ask. They like to think about when we plant this little tree, it's going to get large like this 100 years from now," Forester Todd Ernster said. "They like looking at the worms and picking through the dirt. They like to get their hands dirty."
