MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- A man is in the hospital after his single-seat plane crashed at a northeastern Wisconsin airport.
The Brown County Sheriff's Lt. Keith Barth says the plane crashed around 2 p.m. as it was approaching the runway at Carter Airport just south of Pulaski. The pilot, a 67-year-old man from Green Bay, was taken by helicopter to a local hospital with what Barth described as life-threatening injuries.
Barth says no one else was hurt. Authorities aren't sure what caused the crash.
