Packers take WR Randall Cobb in 2nd round

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- The Green Bay Packers added to their offense in the second and third rounds of the NFL draft, taking Kentucky wide receiver Randall Cobb with the No. 64 overall pick.

The 5-foot-10, 192-pound Cobb could help the Packers' pass-heavy offense and potentially shore up what has been an inconsistent return game. He began his college career as a quarterback.

The Packers also selected Hawaii running back Alex Green in the third round Friday night. At 6 feet and 220 pounds, he rushed for 1,199 yards last season. Green Bay selected an offensive tackle with its first round pick for the second year in a row, nabbing Mississippi State's Derek Sherrod to close Thursday night's picks.
