PHELPS (WAOW)-- An 8th grade Phelps student will represent Wisconsin at the National Geography Bee.

Robert Rosner recently won his school's competition, then took a qualifying test to make it to state.

He continued his success by defeating 99 of the top geography students at the competition in Madison.

Rosner says, "What you just have to do is love to read, love to study geography, love to look at maps, and then all it just takes is hard work and then the rest will come."

Rosner will participate in the national competition on May 24th and 25th in Washington D-C.

The first place prize is a $25,000 college scholarship and a trip to the Galapagos Islands.
