No longer a full field for the Derby

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- The second favorite on the morning line will not run in Saturday's Kentucky Derby.

Owner Mike Repole says Uncle Mo has been scratched because he hasn't recovered enough from a stomach ailment to run in the 1 1/4-mile race. Uncle Mo was listed at 9-2.

His absence reduces the field for the 137th Derby to 19 horses. Dialed In is the 4-1 early favorite.

Repole made the announcement this morning, about 40 minutes before Derby wagering opened.

Uncle Mo's illness was discovered after he was upset in the Wood Memorial on April 9.
