MEDFORD (WAOW) -- A Medford girl's pennies add up to more than a thousand dollars to benefit victims of last month's tornado in Merrill.
9-year-old Jayda Meyer started her food and penny drive two weeks ago, with support from teachers and classmates at Medford Elementary. With the help of the community, Jayda raised $1,200 to go along with 15 boxes of food and more than 18 boxes of clothing.
She dropped off the items and money in Merrill over the weekend.
