ABC NEWS -- Officials say Osama Bin Laden's writings show he wanted the next attack in the US to be even bigger than 9/11, spread out across the country in Los Angeles, and in smaller cities that may not expect to be terrorist targets.
The information comes from computer files, and hand written journals seized when Navy SEALS raided Bin Laden's Pakistani compound last week. It proves that, while Bin Laden stayed inside his compound walls for years, he was still in Al Qaeda command--relying on a courier to send the plans to followers worldwide.
Some lawmakers say it's good reason not to cut back on funding the US intelligence community.
The latest Associated Press/GfK poll says 87 percent of people believe the killing of Osama Bin Laden during the raid was justified.
