10 PM Anchor, Multimedia Journalist
Daniel Woodruff is from Provo, Utah. In his hometown Daniel attended Brigham Young University where he majored in broadcast journalism with a minor in political science.
Daniel comes to WAOW from Fort Wayne, Indiana where he reported and anchored for the FOX affiliate, WFFT-TV. He was part of an Emmy-nominated news team and reported stories on a variety of issues.
Prior to working in Fort Wayne, Daniel gained experience in college as a reporter, anchor, and producer at the BYU Daily News, broadcast live throughout Utah. He also completed internships at CNN in Washington, D.C., KSL-TV in Salt Lake City, and the Utah State Legislature.
Daniel and his family are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a two-year mission to Ukraine from 2004 to 2006. He returned to Ukraine a year later with a non-profit organization to spearhead a major competition focused on judicial reform.
In his spare time, Daniel loves to spend time with his beautiful wife and energetic son. They enjoy traveling, eating out, and reading. Daniel is also an adjunct instructor of communications at Northcentral Technical College in Wausau.
