Wausau, WI (WAOW)-- Well it seems that the world hasn't come to an end, at least not yet. People in the area weren't sold on the fact that this was it. While others didn't even know it was supposed to happen.
Christian broadcaster Harold Camping made the original prediction that the world would end on May 21, 2011. He says the date is the result of mathematical calculations based on the Bible.
Some of you might have seen the billboard in Marathon County warning people the lord was coming.
Marlene and David Fox hail from Irma, WI. They think that this whole thing is a hoax.
"I'm not too worried about it because I didn't know it was supposed to be ending today. In the bible it says no one is going to know when it ends."
Her husband David agreed. "No one knows. Not even the angels in heaven know when the world is going to end."
Carey Kerchefski points out that, "there are better things to worry about."
Some local people were also asked what they would do if it was the end. One women said she would eat all the ice cream in her freezer and not feel guilty. Another said she would be doing the exact same thing.
