MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Soul Asylum, the Sounds of Blackness and gospel singer Robert Robertson are among artists scheduled to perform at a benefit concert for victims of Sunday's tornado in north Minneapolis.
"Northside: A Twin Cities Community Benefit" is set for June 12 at the State Theatre in downtown Minneapolis.
Other artists confirmed for the lineup include folk singer Larry Long, guitarist Billy McLaughlin and soul singer Sara Renner.
The goal is to help raise $100,000 for residents whose homes were destroyed by the tornado. All money will go to The Minneapolis Foundation, which has set up a North Minneapolis Recovery Fund and in partnership with United Way will provide a dollar-for-dollar match up to $200,000 to rebuild the community.
Concert times and ticket information will be announced later.
