MARSHFIELD (WAOW) -- Art students in Marshfield pack up a box full of letters and beanie babies to send to tornado victims in Missouri.
Students at Immanuel Lutheran School wrote letters for the victims and paired them up with beanie babies. Newsline 9 talked with one student who lived in Joplin. She says it's difficult for her to see the devastation there, but she's glad she can help make someone smile.
"It makes me feel better to know that everyone else in Joplin has a whole class and everything, and whole school, to support them," Lauren Percell said.
The art teacher says her daughter leaving for college gave her the idea. She said she wanted to put all of her daughter's childhood toys towards a good cause.
