(CNN)(MN)--Victory is sweet...especially if that victory involves candy and soda... and lands you a world record.
That is exactly what students from a Minnesota high school were shooting for as they used a combustible concoction of Mentos candy and Diet Coke.
Combining the two causes a foamy eruption, often referred to as a "Coke geyser".
Hundreds of students attempted to break the world record today (Friday).
Their goal was to set off a series of three-thousand geysers, which would eclipse the current record.
Students say the idea grew from a plan for a graduation prank into a way to put their small town on the map.
A body found in Adams County has been identified as Isaac Salinas, according to Sheriff Sam Wollin.
