(WAOW) - The state track and field meet wraps up Saturday in La Crosse with finals in all three divisions. Numerous athletes from central Wisconsin gunning for state titles, including the entire Edgar girls' team. The Wildcats' Faryn Wirkus defends her pole vault championship with a division three state record effort of 11 feet, 7 inches.
Edgar ran away with their second straight division three state title by more than 50 points.
In the division two triple jump, Raquel Ebbe from Nekoosa clears 37 feet, 3.5 inches. She adds the triple jump state title to her championship in the long jump Friday.
Rosholt captured the boys' division three title, edging out Gilman by one point.
Regional finals hit the soccer pitch at DC Everest Middle School. Marshfield outlasted Wausau West in a shootout to advance.
They'll face DC Everest, who beat Rhinelander 2-1, thanks to a goal from Mali Theiss with under 90 seconds to play.
Ryan Condon scored seven times to lead the Wausau Wolfpack to a 21-3 win over Neenah in the state lacrosse tournament.
The Woodchucks came up short in an 11-inning affair with the Green Bay Bullfrogs and the Central Wisconsin Spartans fell to the Chippewa Valley Predators, 49-21.
